The Burden of Leadership?

Employees should be taught the responsibility they have of leadership, no matter their position. Transforming an employee in leadership does not mean that they will become a manager or the next owner. However, once discovered, an employee can have hidden potential, which will make them a much better employee right where they are. Better employees will mean growth for your company.  Your company is only as strong as your weakest employee.

Over the last few years, I have seen the need to develop leaders inside Parkway that would take my business to a level that I could not take by myself. Like all of you, I struggle with the leadership load I carried. I remember walking out to the front office and declaring in a very non-leadership way to my three advisors, “I’m not going to carry the burden of leading this company alone anymore!” That was 2010. Since then, I have been committed to personal development and not just be a better leader but also train my advisors, techs, and managers to lead themselves first and then lead others. You all know me well and my desire to share what I learn. The benefits of what I’ve learned have allowed me to move my work schedule to two days a week, no longer answer the phones, no longer attend multiple meetings, and rarely have a problem reaching my desk. I want the same for you.

Because I want to see you in a place where you can spend the time you deserve with your family, no longer be the only one carrying the load, and add incredible value to your business, I’ve developed a program called “Leadershift”. Whether you are ready to create a succession plan or just no longer want to lead your company alone, I want to help you develop the leaders you need. We will take them through “The 15 Laws of Growth” and other leadership development principles. Live calls will take place every Thursday with optional call times.

WHAT OTHERS ARE LEARNING FROM LEADERSHIFT:

TECHNICIAN  — "Leadership is
not easy, it is a sacrifice.
To influence others, you
must change yourself.
I must rely on others more.
It’s not about me”

SERVICE ADVISOR (Observation of his technician that is enrolled in the program) — "He is more intentional to
be a part of the solution –
I’ve seen a change of intent.”

YOUNG SERVICE ADVISOR — "Leadershift has created positive pressure for me. It caused me to seek out a mentor. It has helped me
lead my team with greater intentionality. It has changed how I lead”

SEASONED SERVICE ADVISOR —
“Leadershift has stretched me – I have to be intentional about growth. For me, it started at home. I’ve learned to be a servant for my teamat work”

YOUNG TECHNICIAN —
"I’m shocked at how much
of a leader I can be. It has changed my behavior. Finding solutions to problems is more natural for me. I’ve learned the value of being a river, not
a reservoir. I am taking responsibility for my growth.
I’m now more open and encouraging to others.”

SEASONED TECHNICIAN —
“I’m old – but I’ve learned to
be a listener to respect younger people’s input, I intentionally make sure they know that they are valuable to me”.
